Information about covid-19 – regarding Kulturskolan

Here you will find updated information on how the situation with the coronavirus affects Upplands Väsby kulturskola.

Update 2020-12-21

Kulturskolan closes all physical education until January 24, 2021

Based on the government's and Folkhälsomyndigheten's (the Public Health Agency's) recommendations and restrictions from 18 December and the significant spread of covid19 in Stockholm County, without signs of slowdown and the heavy burden on the region's healthcare, the crisis management in Upplands Väsby municipality has decided to close Kulturskolan from today and until January 24, 2021.

Digital teaching will be conducted where possible. You will receive more information from your child's teacher at the start of the spring term.

Due to this, we will review the fees for the spring semester and have postponed the invoicing, more information about this will come after the weekends.

We follow the guidelines of the municipality and the Public Health Authority and announce whether there will be changes.

We notify the parents concerned via sms and e-mail the same morning if a teacher becomes ill.

Canceled lessons are generally not compensated. If the teacher is ill for a longer period, we will do everything we can to find a substitute.

Students are guaranteed at least 26 lessons per academic year (musikmix 24 occasions, instrumentmix 20 occasions). If there are fewer lessons at the end of the spring term, we will compensate for this in some way.
